The Game Awards 2019 : la liste complète des vainqueurs
La cérémonie des Game Awards 2019 a permis de mettre en avant de nombreux jeux, studios et personnalités de plusieurs industries, et Nintendo a pu recevoir plusieurs prix parmi les nominés. Tout d’abord, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate a reçu le prix de meilleur Jeu de combat (il avait été aussi nommé pour le Jeu de l’Année, mais c’est Sekiro : Shadows Die Twice qui a reçu le prix), et par la suite, nous avons appris que le titre de meilleur Jeu Familial a été remporté par Luigi’s Mansion 3. Enfin, Fire Emblem : Three Houses a gagné dans deux catégories : meilleur Jeu de Stratégie et Vote du Public.
Au total, Nintendo avait été nommé dans 13 récompenses pour neuf catégories. De plus, plusieurs titres sortis sur Switch ont été nommés et récompensés, dont Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (gagnant dans Best Sports / Racing Game), GRIS (gagnant dans Games for Impact puis nommé dans Best Art Direction et Fresh Indie Developer Presented by Subway), Sayonara Wild Hearts (nommé dans les catégories Best Art Direction, Best Score/Music, Best Mobile Game), Fortnite (gagnant dans Best Ongoing Game puis nommé dans Best Community Support et Best eSports Game), Baba Is You (nommé dans Best Independent Game), Katana ZERO (nommé dans Best Independent Game) et Untitled Goose Game (nommé dans Best Independent Game et Fresh Indie Game Presented by Subway).
Plusieurs annonces concernant Nintendo ont été également faites au cours de la cérémonie : le pack de DLC Rise of the Phoenix de Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 : The Black Order a été annoncé pour le 23 décembre, une toute nouvelle bande-annonce de 5 minutes de No More Heroes 3 a été diffusée et Bravely Default II a été annoncé pour 2020 sur Switch avec le retour de Revo (Sound Horizon/Linked Horizon) pour la composition des musiques.
